Roman Rittweger, M.D., Ph.D.
Managing Director and CEO
Roman Rittweger, MD, PhD is an experienced founder with extensive experience in the healthcare sector and the health insurance industry. As a serial entrepreneur, he has been responsible for the growth of several enterprises. In his previous position, he has served as the CEO for ottonova, a digital health insurance provider in Germany. Roman is driven by his passion for creating and growing enterprises and his enthusiasm for medical innovation.
After getting his medical degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and an MBA from INSEAD, Roman stared his career at McKinsey, before founding his first enterprise ArztPartner almeda, an innovative telemedicine provider. He then joined BBDO Consulting as a Managing Partner before he founded the Advisors in Healthcare consulting group. With ottonova, he developed and successfully scaled the first digital health insurance provider in Germany.
Charline Wurzer
Managing Director
Charline Wurzer is an accomplished professional with over a decade of experience in the life sciences industry. In her current role at athagoras, Charline is responsible for supporting partner companies in executing ambitious growth strategies and fostering synergies across the businesses. She also plays a key role in identifying and acquiring premier pharma service businesses that align with athagoras' strategic vision.
Prior to joining athagoras, Charline was a Partner at the Boston Consulting Group, where she advised life sciences clients on strategic, commercial topics, and business development/M&A. Before this, she worked at J.P. Morgan in London in the healthcare investment banking team, advising life sciences clients on M&A transactions.
Charline has an international academic background, holding a degree in business from Erasmus University and an MSc in Finance from the London School of Economics. Charline is passionate about innovation in the life sciences industry and unlocking the growth potential of businesses. Outside of work, she is an avid mountaineer, reader, and lover of modern art.
